About RemoteMail

Remote Mail provides a web interface to email on any POP server. Users simply go to a web page, enter their username and password, and they can read and send email. Remote Mail is highly customizable, giving administrators tremendous control over the "look and feel" of the application.

Computer lab managers like Remote Mail because users don't leave mailboxes, configuration files, and passwords on publicly accessible machines. Support desk staff like Remail Mail because it is simple enough for even the most novice of users. And users love it for its speed and convenience.

Quick Installation

1. Copy the "Net.Dreams Remote Mail" plug-in and the "Net.Dreams Remote Mail.cfg" file into your server's plug-in folder.
2. Copy the RM folder to anywhere it can be found by your web server. (The root document folder works well.)
3. Launch your web server.
4. Go to the URL "RM/login.remotemail".

Remote Mail is very configurable and highly customizable. Please see the documentation for details.

• MailAgent Lite 1.2. If you are going to allow users to send messages with Remote Mail, you will need to install and configure MailAgent.

Purchasing a License

Remote Mail will work indefinitely but will only allow 2 simultaneous sessions unless you purchase a license. Once you have entered your license number into the configuration file Remote Mail will allow an unlimited number of simultaneous sessions.

Remote Mail can be purchased from the Net.Dreams order form. The price as of this writing is $249 for one server, $199 for each additional server. This price includes a copy of MailAgent Lite. If you already purchased MailAgent separately (ie: not as part of any other Net.Dreams product) then let us know in the comments box of the order form. You may be entitled to a discount.
